Last week, I had the good fortune to spend 2 days with a good friend and mentor, Corey Creed. Corey is partially responsible for my desire to learn and enjoy Search Engine Optimization.

Corey led a seminar for website designers, business owners and individuals interested in increasing their website placement and traffic in an organic search. Organic rankings are the results shown in the middle of the Google results page. Sponsored rankings are listed at the top and right side of the results and my be shaded or separate from organic results.

The training provided me with even more knowledge of how Google works, what it is looking for and most importantly, how to make my pages rank higher on the list. Many of the topics we discussed have already been implemented into our website design, while the newer methods will soon be included. Overall, our office greatly increased our abilities to enhance webpage rankings.

As much as I enjoyed the knowledge, visiting with my friend was great too.
